$500 Million to Automotive Industry

As the Obama administration tries to help make sure our economy and the automotive industry will be able to rebound as well as a bid to improve the ecosystem. The administration, decided to give Irvine-based Fisker Automotive Inc. over $500 million to help build and develop new hybrid vehicles.

This is part of the $25 billion loan from the Department of Energy to help fund the development of alternative vehicles. According to the Obama administration this bill will help create over 5,000 jobs at Fisker and its suppliers.

There are several auto makers that are also developing new hybrid technologies that will create new jobs in the automotive industry. As new automotive technologies continues to arise it will be sure that more automotive technicians will be necessary and students will continue to look for automotive schools to learn at.
