Despite a rough economy in many states throughout the United States, there are still many companies looking for trained medical assistants. The medical assistant (MA), provides basic patient care under the direction of the registered nurse and physician that incorporates the administration of injections, assist with procedures, timely rooming of patients to ensure efficient patient flow, take vital signs, schedule appointments, and support office activities such as medical records filing.
Some of the basic requirements for medical assistant jobs include; a high school diploma, state certification, laboratory experience, basic computer skills, and CPR certification.
