Medical Assistant Job Duties
The typical roles of a medical assistant can vary greatly from state to state and even from one doctors office to another. It is important for the supervising doctor to understand the skills of their medical assistants to ensure proper care.
The typical administrative roles for a medical assistant may include receptionist duties, appointment scheduling, process medical billings, keeping financial records, filing, calling pharmacies for prescription, transcribe dictation, and sending letters, among other day to day tasks.
